not sure if youre desperate enough that youre willing to go for a 1984 model year but this just got posted in the PSA thread.

That is an excellent deal but wow, does that modern stuff ever look awful on that frame.

Wow, that's such a nice example. Price is steep but perhaps fair.

That is an incredibly nice SC. The color and attention to detail are great. I'm not sure that they get much better than this. Thanks for posting it Rallizes!

Thanks, Charles. I believe that it's the exact same bike that Rallizes posted above.

Thanks to everyone for the listings and for keeping an eye out. Two years after originally posting this WTB, I'm still in the same situation - two 70s era SCs that are too big for me and casually looking for a 55-56 to replace them with. A frameset alone is fine. A SC Pista would be great as well.

Oh, dang! This is soooo close to what I'm looking for. It's the right color, the right size, a reasonable price, and only a couple of hours away. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the earlier 26.2 seatpost diameter and longer drilled lugs. However, it's still tempting. I've had a couple of SCs from this timeframe and they were both exceptionally nice riding bikes. The interesting thing about an SC from 85/86 is that you could run Super Record, C Record, or even Nuovo Record and it would still be period correct. I have an early C Record groupset with Cobaltos that would be awesome on this bike.

Thanks again for posting it!
