FS: Kirk fillet brazed, 60cm top tube road bike SOLD

Hi all,

Pains me to do this and I will probably regret it, but I think I should sell my beloved Kirk. It just doesn’t get ridden that much. It’s an amazing riding and looking bike and someone needs to ride the hell out of it. Dave truly nailed it with this one and I’ve gotten many enjoyable rides out of it.

What’s for sale:

Dave Kirk oversized tubing, fillet brazed, Terraplane road frame with custom JB paint scheme. 60cm top tube, 55cm seat tube, 6* slope, 20cm headtube, 72.5 seat tube angle and a 1 1/8 headtube. It will easily handle 25mm tires.

Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork painted to match 43 rake, steerer tube at 28cm

Chris King black Soto Voce headset

Handlebra custom leather tape with orange stitching to match.

All this for the low, low price of $1,600.00 SOLD professionally packed and shipped to your door step. This would set you back close to $4,000.00 if you’d buy it new.

If you want the ETap group ( minus brakes and crankset ) : $800.00

If you want the 130mm ENVE stem with gen 2 Garmin mount : $150.00

If you want the setback 2 bolt ENVE 27.2 seatpost: $150.00

If the frame doesn’t sell, I’ll just keep all the components.

The frameset has a few paint chips that have been touched up with clear nail polish. I have many pictures to document all of this. Happy to send via email.

Here are many pictures of it over the years built up:

Feel free to PM me here or send me an email via local399@aol.com , happy to answer any and all questions and send many pictures via email.

Thank you for looking,

Steve

My days of buying sports cars are long over. After owning 3 stick shift 911’s in LA traffic, I’m sticking with my big, comfortable and quiet 4 door cruiser.

TGIF bump...

Come on guys, someone buy this! I have an incoming Pinarello F8 and don’t have any more room for another bike.

Since you are out of room, I'd be happy to board it for you. There is a Serotta already boarded so it will be with familiar bloodlines. You don't want a fine steed like this to sit idle for longish periods of time, lest it lose its fitness, so I'll exercise it once in a while too, no charge.

Steve, where did you source the F8? I've been trying to find a good used F8 in our size (I assume you went 59.5cm) for a while.

Double bump. Just because that is a fine-looking (and I'm sure very fine-riding) bike.
