Has advertising in cycling worked on you?

What non cycling product or service have you purchased as a result of seeing it on a kit or a banner in a race?

I believe my first cycling influenced purchase was a Tag Heuer watch after seeing the 7-Eleven team wearing them and the logo on the jersey.

More recently, Mapei tile grout.

Probably some others too that I can't recall.

Never bought any Ryobi tools though.

I bought a Tibco license bc the product was awesome and they sponsored a cycling team

I was looking at laminate floors. When I couldn't decide between the final 2, I chose the Quickstep.

I sent all my letters via USPS during the Lance Armstrong years, and I still do.

I am definitely influenced. I bought Colavita olive oil after making a conscious decision on the brand based solely on the fact that they sponsored a cycling team.

I do draw the line though and couldn't buy bedazzled Rock & Republic jeans.

I wanted to be this guy. So I bought some Cafe Du Cycliste jerseys. Still can't grow a beard like that, though ...

Colavita, Bissel, Mapie, and Jelly Belly come to mind as purchases that were made based on cycling sponsorship. Of course 7-Eleven.
