It appears that New England Randonneurs has some new members of La Société Charly Miller.

He made Charly Miller time by 3 minutes 5 seconds.

So did Ian Hands, who of course is also a member of La Société Adrian Hands.

Ha so great. Lesser humans (myself included) can only dream of even a 90hr finish!

From French TV, the last riders to arrive at the turn-around in Brest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8rYvhRNgDs. Only 380 miles to go!

Ultracyclist Marko Baloh finished in 44:48.

British cyclist becomes third woman ever to complete Paris-Brest-Paris on a fixie: https://road.cc/content/news/265816-...st-paris-fixie.

Of course, Emily O'Brien of Dill Pickle Gear was one of the previous two.

She was also the youngest rider that year (2007?).

No such luck. Fairly strong headwind all the way to Loudeac and I was looking for a nice push on the way back from Brest. The wind shifted so a headwind on the retour also though not as strong as in the way out.

I finished in a little over 87 hours but had 7 hours off the bike each night with overnights in Loudeac (out and back) and Mortagne.

All in all, the weather was as good as you can ask for on a 1200K. It got really cold at night (I ride through the night twice), into the low 40's and a damp fog that made it feel even colder. AFAIK, 27% of the field didn't finish, about normal for a 1200K.

A fantastic event.

Wow. I wonder how many riders have ever done PBP faster than that on a fixed gear.

Very impressive!

I hope you'll write a ride report. Did you ride by yourself most of the time, or in pacelines with geared riders?

I've done a Super Randonneur series on a fixed gear, but it's hard for me to imagine doing a 1200 on one, not just because of hills, but also because having to pedal constantly aggravates any problems with saddle or chamois.
