Cartridge bearing runs rough in hub but smooth when removed
The axle on my rear hub was running rough. I pulled it apart and discovered that the cartridge bearing on the drive side was notchy (the three other bearings seemed fine). I replaced the drive side bearing, put everything back together, and it all feels smooth now. What's interesting is that the old cartridge bearing (now that it's been removed) feels smooth. Is this typical? Also, is it usually the case that the drive side cartridge bearing is the first to go?

Load
No load when removed, likely why it spins smooth.
