Weigle sportif

Another belated post for a machine I've had for a couple of years. I picked up this stunner from forum member SamIAm (Rob) when he offered it up in 2013 following a Curt Goodrich repaint. I then had Johnny Coast fit a set of Honjo fenders, and perform a shellac job on the handlebars. Peter Weigle then kindly offered to refinish the front rack while adding a mounting tab to the top of the rack, which now securely holds a Berthoud front bag. All that remains - maybe - is an Edelux and a SON dyno, though I've got that well covered on my other bikes.

No details on the type of lightweight tubing other than that it yields an incredibly lively, magical ride.

Now that I've let go of the Mariposa and the Zanconato (much appreciated, folks) I think I'll be hanging onto this one for awhile!

”Elegant” was the exact word I was going to use.

Every time I see a Weigle like this I have an irrational desire to own one, even though they have nothing to do with the type of riding I do.
