Whatever you think of the guy or the movie it has to be said that Easy Rider has one of the best soundtracks of that era. Great classic music.

I was 28 years old when that movie was made. Somehow I missed that part of 60's. Just too busy raising young kids and working my ass off in a new career to pay much attention to that culture.

There's a recent newspaper article about the soundtrack. Apparently they didn't have the money to have somebody score music for the movie. It was cheaper to select popular tunes and get permissions. Article claimed that this is one of the first few movies to have done this.
