Any MIPS helmets NOT sweat buckets that pour into your eyes

Really longing for the days of Giro Aeons. The new Giro MIPS are problematic when it comes to sweat rolling down into your eyes (to the point I rarely wear sunglasses anymore).

Anyone found a MIPS helmet that has solved this issue?

My Oakley ARO3 has been really great for me, even on high 90 degree days.

I've got an Oakley as well, and didn't even realize it was a MIPS helmet. It's no hotter than the Giro it replace, but I don't know which model it is.

It is not the MIPS helmet...it is in selecting the ideal headwear (for you) to wear beneath the helmet.
Having a cycling cap, compression garment, or technical fabric bandanna helps preserve the helmet, too.

Does that negate the function of the mips feature?

I’m a fan of the Bell Z20 Ghosts mips, I tour and ride a lot after dark, sweat seems to drip off the front between the eyes!

Yes: The Giro Aether with the spherical mips is an incredible improvement over the Synthe

Bell Z20, or any of their other MIPS models with the Sweat Guide pads which direct sweat out the forward edge of the helmet instead of allowing it to pour into your eyes.

I agree. If you can find a helmet that fits but dripping sweat is an issue, it may not necessarily be due to poor ventilation. Try wearing a skull cap of some sort such as by Sweatvac.

Don't get a headband style piece; a full cap will stay in place when you put the helmet on- a headband will tend to move on you.

Not MIPs per say, but POC has their Spin technology which is supposed to address the same issues.

Check their Ventral Air Spin, or their older Octal still comes in MIPs. Best airflow that I have ever felt in a helmet.

Which Giro are you using. I’m quite enjoying my Aether without issue

In other words, introducing a slip plane under another slip plane?

That would be the poor man's MIPS.

Shouldn't be a problem unless it cause the helmet to move so much that the helmet doesn't provide the same impact protection. But that's why the straps need to be tight.
