Happy birthday, Dave!

Enjoy the gumbo and coffee cheesecake. Btw, I happen to think you were born on a the best day of the year.

A day late, but, happy birthday, Dave.

I've learned so much from reading your pots here, and am looking forward to getting one of your frames (very) soon.

I was able to get the Coors Light Softride frame cabled up and took it out for a short ride as the sun set. Bike rides and handles great. Thanks to Dave for making the frame usable again. Also thanks to thollandpe for the frame and slowgoing for the fork. All were great to deal with.

Happy Birthday!! It's GREAT to have torch welders on this forum..

Bravo..and for the 'Serotta' softride above..is that a softride with Serotta decals or did Ben actually make these?

I sold Softride for a while 2 shops ago..THAT was interesting..

Very cool to see the Alexi Grewal Serotta back on the road after its recent repair. I built a small number of these for Alexi and some for Alex Steida while at Serotta in the very early 1990's. I'm not sure that we built any for sale to the public....could be but I don't think so. Allsop wanted us to introduce a model but for whatever reason we never did.

Cool bit of history there!

Back in the day when I was racing in Oregon there was a guy with a watermelon colored Softride that would turn up a crits every so often. He had a way of weighting the beam as he would enter a corner and that thing would just rocket through and out the other side.
