I would think the long overlap of ti/carbon lugs would make it difficult to make a less stiff bike.

I have had 3 mixed material bikes, a Pinarello Opera ( steel with carbon seat and chain stays) and Seven 622. In both I have noted a muting of the shocks over rough roads. My third mixed material was an old Magnesium and carbon Dogma, again compared to a all carbon bike, a Pinarello Paris, a much smoother ride.
