And now back to our regularly scheduled program...cycling across the USA

Three of my cycling pals decided to do a cross country trip from San Diego to Brevard County Florida. Our local news media did a short story on them, and I thought I'd share it...

Nice!

I had the youthful dream of doing the cross-Canada ride, but never did it. The longest we did was Vancouver, BC to San Francisco, unsupported.

Then life intervened and we never got back to touring.

Awesome! I hope to do this someday (and not when I'm retired).

They averaged about 100 miles a day and took six days off the bike during their six week adventure. Their longest day was 12+ hours and they said the ride across the desert was very challenging and would go through two water bottles every 10 miles. Despite the tough spots, they had a great trip.

I'm impressed with anyone who rides across the country. Hats off to them. A nice story.
