Suggestions for 27.0 seatposts?

I have a 27.0 ritchey seatpost on my Bridgestone, but it's a bit lacking in angle adjustment.

It measures at something like 27.15, yet 27.2 posts don't fit.

Any suggestions for silver, setback, 27.0 seatposts, with good angle adjustment? I like the Thompson elite/masterpiece, but they only seem to come in black for 27.0.

Edit: if nothing else I'm learning a lot about the older standards

Maybe shim to 25.4. There are some decent Cannondale 'SAVE' 25.4 posts out there for fair cost.

I have a Sugino XP-Pro MTN 27mm post on my 753 Reynolds frame, good luck fining one though... and not cheap either. But pretty satin silver, yum.

Edited. Misread, thinking that was a silver option for the Thomson. I had an American classic 27.0 on a previous frame that worked and functioned just fine. Can’t see where those are still available, might be an eBay option.

Have we considered reaming or honing the seat tube??

Definitely thinking about asking my local shop/framebuilder to clean out the seat tube. It's pretty thin walled, so I'm hesitant to do much myself.

My main issue is that the post on there now has tons of rear angle adjustment, and very little front adjustment. I suspect because it came with this saddle, which has a lot of forward tilt built in.

For reference, current post is one of these: https://bikerecyclery.com/vintage-ri...7-0mm-x-225mm/

The rails on the saddle look bent. Are you planning to replace the saddle too?

Already replaced the saddle, my issue is that modern saddles have the rails more parallel to the top, and so are tilted back further.

This was just an example of the type of saddle that I think the seatpost was intended for.

Go for the best old campy chorus: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20422402909...Bk9SR-b2kp6_YQ

that being said, put kalloy on my wife's Gordon Chinook (Columbus SP) and works fine

I've had the Kalloy Uno; they hold secure and they're a one-bolt easy to adjust design. Not micro-adjustable, but they do have a serrated clamp so it never slips. It should have the adjustment range you seek.

You'll find them on eBay, as well as the aforementioned 27.0-25.4 reducing shims if you go that route. I have a Cane Creek shim on one road bike and it's a well finished product.

I think I may have found a workable, if expensive, option.

The nitto s-83 2-bolt is available in 27.0, silver, setback.

For what it's worth, the ritchey I have looks identical to the nitto s-65, and I can probably make due until a deal comes around.

This was a fun bit of digging

Those Ritchey posts are forged. I'd not me afraid to file open the the slot under the clamp for some more room for rotation. A little bit probably go long way in angle embellishment...

Typically a seat tube for a 27.2 post is going to have an ID in the 27.3-.4 range.

(Just FYI - def seems like the OP needs a 27.0 option)

Nitto was making seatposts for Ritchey through roughly the mid 90's. Then Tom pivoted to a Taiwanese producer who copied the Nitto S65 "Crystal Fellow" design.

Is that a recent development, or just a (hopefully) temporary supply-chain issue? Or is that for the setback posts only?
Back around 2008 it was easy to find a non-setback silver Thompson Elite in 27.0 for my Bridgestone.
