AND - the orange and white striped one IS on sale for 43 bucks. For that price I will not argue.

I like the rapha I cause the materials and zippers are substantial but you can still roll it up and put it in your jersey . I am in the market for a new wind jacket and will probably get one of there's too. I am definitely not a rapha fanboy but some pieces are truly great. I know some people are obsessed with the q365 as well.

I don't own a vest but could use one. On the cheaper side is the Castelli Squadra, but it only has side ventilation.
https://www.castelli-cycling.com/US/.../p/4521512_656 The Castelli Aria has back ventilation, but no bright colors. https://www.competitivecyclist.com/c...aria-vest-mens |

7Mesh
The 7Mesh Cypress Hybrid Vest is one of the best pieces of kit I own. The front doesn't stretch a ton, but the back does. The front has windstopper, and there are lower side zips you can pull down to access jersey pockets.
https://7mesh.com/cypress-hybrid-vest Better than the Rapha lightweight (doesn't provide any warmth, whereas the Cypress can keep you warm in cold days/descents), the q36.5 (which is a bit tight and lets a lot of wind through), CHPT3 vest. I was skeptical at first of the 7mesh before buying, but really happy. |

If anyone is looking for a heavier weight one, I've had good experiences with the CdC Albertine and PEdALED Polartec Alpha vests.

I got my CdC vest today too. Super quick shipping from France!
I like it a lot, perfect for what I was looking for. Unexpected bonus feature is that there is a slash in the rear panel allowing quick access to jersey pockets. Very nice design.

Like you I thought it was a great idea but..... If the vest is not same brand as jersey then its likely the pockets will not exactly line up with the slits. I have slipped my phone in thinking it was going in pocket...it was not ![]() Luckily the vest waist band was tight enough to keep phone in vest Truthfully I prefer a vest with rear pockets. It is not hard to later move things to jersey pockets if removing vest ![]() |

Louis Garneau makes vests that have a cut-out in the lower back so that you can reach your jersey pockets. I have not used it but a few teams I have raced against have their kit and like that feature.

I have the classic wind jacket and it's one of my least used pieces. The body fit is ok but the sleeves are pretty tight so if I wear it while climbing and generate a bit of sweat (it doesn't breathe great) then the sleeves stick to my arms and it fails to do its job once descending. |
