What a show of strength from Pogacar. I'm just glad stickyboi didn't cross the line before he did.

Awesome stage. And I'm extra pumped to see Pogacar take the win.

This year's Tour route has been so much better than the old formula. Well done.

In the high Alps I can't see beyond Bernal.

Man, I was hoping against hope that Hirschi would pull out the win...

Gotta love Phil

The mountain road is slippery because of the sap that comes from the pine trees.

I saw no such trees during the stage.

I've listened to him since the 80s. Truth be told, it's hard to imagine a replacement.

He's in the perfect position but Ineos hasn't been looking strong at all.. He's been isolated with Jumbo up front. They'll grind his wheels off in the Alps with 1/2 duo of Kuss and Wout. They have bodies and legs to burn up Ineos. Toss Dumolin in there and you have a recipe for Roglic to sit on wheels and punch away at will..

I think today we are getting a glimpse of the real contenders for this years tour. NBCSN, as usual, offers excellent coverage.

Yeah - that was exciting. I was pulling for him.

It's the end of week 1 of a 3 week stage race.... a bit early to start calling it for Roglic.
Don't bet against Bernal is my suggestion. He's a proven winner. Great stage to Pau yesterday, BTW.

So the race director has tested positive, 4 teams have tested positive: Ineos, Mitchelton-Scott, Cofidis, AG2R, and the race carries on. I'm starting to wonder, what are the odds the race will end in Paris this year?

After re-watching last year's race, Bernal came on later in the race. He can shine in the Alps.

Should be a good race developing in front of our eyes!

The race will reach Paris but it seems forgone not all riders will. Shame if GC contender on a team that gets booted for two positives but everyone agreed to the bubble rules going in.

Put an * on the result if you like but so far I’ve really enjoyed the early mtn stages and non traditional stage progression

The race should go on until Pinot drops out of his own accord.
