Weisan-pal...have you ever considered a career in burlesque? Because I think you've got a skill for teasing things out as long as possible.

That's quite an interesting build. Campano? Shimagnolo? What's the rear derailleur and why the need for such a long cage?

Yeah, not the best idea as I was beginning to find out...So, the bike originally came with full Campagnolo Centaur 10-speed but y'all know I am a Shimano guy

I swapped out the Campagnolo parts with Shimano Ultegra 10 speed but kept the Centaur crankset because I want to stick with silver bits and I don't have one I can replace it with at the moment. I took a short ride down the street and it looks like it's going to be a problem, "noisy" drivetrain. So perhaps not such a good idea to mix the groups.

The rear cassette is 11-36, rear deraileur is a lowly Tiagra long cage. Again, just trying to use what I have and get the bike functional so I can ride it tomorrow!

your build is good. most of my builds start off on some sort of mixed footing and the world hasn't ended yet. if you can sort out the noise then just keep it the way it is. the only functional deficit i see is an inability to open up the brakes. otherwise if it goes it goes.

fwiw, i have mad respect for tiagra bikes that leave me behind

enjoy the ride.

Oh the shimano! For the love of shumanity!

I love the colors Can't say that I've seen many coupled Sachs frames. The loss of campy on this beauty is killing me, but I'm not going to let that bother me. I'm not.

Congrats on another beautiful score. I will own one of these someday, but mine will have campy :-)

So, where you traveling to next?

Thank you vq pal.

Yes, colker pal, it's a 56.

Tick pal, I wouldn't mind keeping the original Campagnolo parts on if...

1) it comes with a big enough cassette eg. 11-34

2) the shifters are silver and not the carbon variety

I am bringing a bike to Boston late May but I am not sure if the RS is going actually, it will probably be my ritchey breakaway bike because it can handle a fatter tire (35mm).
To answer an earlier question, I got three travel bikes now - 2 S&S coupled, 1 ritchey breakaway.

Love that bike! You travel with style, sir!

...someday I'll find an SLX frame that doesn't make me weep at the thought...
