OT: For our Boulder listers...

Be safe this evening...

Lots of wind expected in the area, parts of Boulder have had power turned off in advance (to avoid downed lines causing fires)

Xcel decided to 'proactively' turn off power in North Boulder that extended into a few other places south and east. Not a huge amount of warning(about 3 hours) and off it went at 3pm Saturday. They estimated power would be back on about noon Sunday..actually for me in NoBo(North Boulder) back on about 4pm Sunday.

Probably really gooned up the Safeway and other business' on 28th street.

Probably still spooked by the Marshal fire that destroyed over 1000 homes and business' not far from Boulder..that they 'say' was caused by a down power line.

Oh well, we survived..convinced me to buy a home emergency power unit/battery gizmo.
