How much is this worth? Campagnolo C-Record Century Grey Groupset

Dear all,

I am in the possession of a rare C-Record Groupset in the Century Grey finish.

Now I do understand that this is rare, and a local bike shop offered to take it off my hand. However, was a bit vague on price, he mentioned that it is probably worth in the 4 digits range but did not want to specify and told me to first think of a price.

So here I am trying to inform myself of the value of this groupset.

I have attached a number of photos and would really appreciate any input you guy's could give me.

Thanks a lot.
Cheers.

In any negotiation, the first person to give a number usually loses. Good on ya for doing some homework

Wow, beautiful stuff. Definitely rare, especially in that condition. Just doing some back of the envelope math:

Crankset: $250
Delta brakes: $400
Derailleurs: $350
Shifters: $100
Levers: $150

Call it $1,250 all in. Could be worth more to the right buyer for that finish.

$1000-1500 depending on condition is normal on this kit. Saw one in FB go for 1250 last week. It looked to be similar condition to this.

Look at what this stuff goes for on eBay. You may be quite surprised at how high it can go, especially if you are willing to sell internationally.

I had an immaculate set of century delta brakes that I sold for $600 without the least bit of hesitation. I won't even say what I sold my set of century large flange hubs for... I think the prices you have listed are on the light side, especially when he has most parts already. My personal guess is somewhere between $1500-2000

thanks for all these numerous replies! they are very much appreciated. :-)

Initially i wanted to set my price at 1600 dollars. The groupset is basically complete and in good condition but it is not NOS and has some scratches.

Do you still think i could get 2000$ for it realistically?

thanks :-) & have a nice day yall

Just remember the highest price will come through the venue with the largest exposure, I.e. eBay. If you go that route eBay gets a 10% cut , PayPal gets a 3% cut.

I bought a whole bike in 2020 with a mint version of that groupset on it back in late 2020 for $2000.

No other takers on it at the price so I feel some folks here are being a bit optimistic.

I used to have the non-anodized version of the groupset and loved it........but that was in 1992/3.

I think 10-15 years ago you might have gotten more for that than you would today. Folks have just moved on from that stuff, even in terms of collectables....strictly IMO.

One way to know for sure what it is worth, throw it on ebay with a low starting price and see what it gets bid up to....

Does not appear to be the "century" finish, which I expect bumps the price appreciably.
