Sid's daughter Jessie Mae made some great music as well, until she had a stroke.

Reuben - Oh man - I love Junior Kimbrough! You Better Run is a great album. You reminded me that I have a DVD of Deep Blues. Need to watch that soon - with a couple cold ones. Such a weird and spectacular look at the last remaining juke joints. Have you seen “The Blues According to Lightnin’ Hopkins?” its a short documentary, though I’m not sure where you can find it. Guarantee you will like it!

This church down the hill from me plays various stuff to the world through its ouside speakers. And lately, at least a few times a day, they’ve been playing the music to Onward Christian Soldiers.

That’s what’s been stuck in my head for several days now, forking Onward Christian Soldiers...and my head fills in some of the awful lyrics too.

I should bombard myself with other music!

Found this in a little shop in the University district last week. It's in very good condition and sounds great spun up. Very popular when it came out but I don't know how it's held up overtime...but who cares.
