https://www.paragonmachineworks.com/...is41-is47.html Some might prefer not to used them, depending on their setup, because it's a little more work to do a tapered miter, and not every builder has the right tools for reaming, but that's a conversation you need to have with your builder.

Thanks Matthew. Enjoy it and get a lot of compliments. It looks even better in person - the pictures don't do the paint justice. Personally, I think my Chorus group flatters it more than your Dura Ace did

The Chorus looks great. Mine was a 7800 group with a 7900 crank. Glad to hear the paint has held up well and brings compliments still. Matt was great to work with and the cost was quite reasonable. Great to see another Serotta still going strong.

Most naked ti bikes (my Seven included) have black handlebar tape and black saddles - anyone sporting any color? Thinking of a red saddle etc - thoughts?

You can use any color you want, as long as it's black.

Old school DeSalvo
I had this one built before disc's and wider tires were a thing, I think around 2011 or 2012. Still running 10S record sans a chorus compact. Over 27,000 miles to date. Rebuilt shifters once and a spring in the RD.
Will fit 27c tires but im running 25c HED rims and WI hubs. They are 26.4 wide. Still a silky smooth ride. Gonna try a different fork to try to get a tiny bit more clearance out front. |

My not-yet-built-up Legend Ti is all naked with red logos and fork so I've been threatening to go red with the saddle, bar tape and hoods. Maybe. Still have practical issues to resolve.

Regrettably sold this last year due to various reasons. Hope to build up something new (or old) in Ti this year or next.
90s Eddy Merckx AX w/ Ritchey carbon fork (threadless) Early super record 11 (bought on the cheap and refurbed myself) Build the record hubs it came with up to H Plus Son TB14 rims Really miss this bike... |

I got the SR11 very cheap on ebay at the time (around $500 with everything), it was very very very used. I had to take everything apart and refurbish it., replaced the chainrings and cassette since the teeth were basically round. After I fixed it all up it felt new (compared to a Chorus 11s I had ridden) but I think I still prefer the Record 10 speed I had on my previous steel Merckx.
