I made a good faith attempt to sell this bike here but alas no one wanted it. What to do? Upgrade of course! Bye-bye Avid and BB-7s, hello Shimano Mech. 11 hydro and some new rubber.

for a (by Paceline standards) low cost frame, this is a really nice bike. I think Niner did a very good job (although their rear rederailleur hanger is poorly designed. My only riding complaint is its stupid stiff (although when on pavement and going uphill I'm not complaining), so trying various wheel/tires to mellow it out.

Is it just the pic, or is that head tube super steep?

I agree. Its a very well made frame/fork with nice attention to detail, and is one of my favorite bikes. I have clement 36mm tubeless usually around 40-45 psi on stans grail team wheels for the road and have dropped them down to 30-35 for a plush dirt ride. im about 165lb.

Currently riding it in czech and slovakia area on a huge gravel and dirt road network in the mountains.

I've got a Niner RLT 9 as well albeit in steel. I'm running some DT Swiss XR1501 wheels w/WTB Nano 40c TCS. The combination of steel and big rubber makes for a sublime ride. This bike has Rival1 w/hydros and it's very nice too. My other adventure bike, a Ridley X-Trail, has the Shimano 2x drivetrain w/hydros which is also very nice though I've been bouncing a lot of chains off the chain rings. I think the Shimano brakes are a bit better than the SRAM but I sure like the SRAM drivetrain.

What surprised me about the Niner is that it has more toe overlap than any bike I've ever had - completely unexpected for a bike of this type. In addition, the handling is much quicker than I expected, almost quirky. But I still love the bike. I think I need to call Niner and see what's going on.
