I remain baffled by UAE's tactics to try to take on a GC challenge. Did they decide they'd rather be a team of privateers and go for stages?

Without Pogacar in the race, it's never been clear who the leader is on that team and it shows.

I gotta disagree, Alamadia was the clear GC leader, he was riding strongly and in second place but then got hit by covid, after that they were hunting stages.

I think people forgot that Almeida caught covid like on stage 3 or whatever. He came there as the GC, and Yates was going to be his Sepp Kuss..

I think this is a fair point, but I think they way they have targeted stages and jerseys post Almeida shows a strong lack of cohesion.

Really strong team with some great riders, but it's almost like the DS staff is afraid to offend them by naming a clear hierarchy. This is an observation I've made across many races over the last several years.

Good ride by Roglic and O'Connor. What happened to McNulty? He was way down!

There was blood on his knee/shin that wasn’t there at the start. Either an old scrape opened or he clipped something in a corner is my guess.

Ah! Thank you. I was only able to catch a few minutes of today's stage. Too bad.
