That is what I was thinking. Campag stuff is still a little old school in that regard - it has not caught up with the current placement of brifters.

Just wanted to follow up and say as usual y’all were spot on. The bar was rotated too high (much too high) and after seeing an image of it on 3T’s site how they envision it being installed I rolled it down and moved the shifters up…bulge is gone. I’ve not used bars before where the end is actually angled up a bit but it feels great in the drops. Thx for the tips.

On the Ekar GT hoods (which can also be used on original Ekar levers) some extra material has been added in the transition zone, too, to lessen the "bump" which can still happen, even with revised positioning of the levers on the 'bars. |

All the 11 speed shifters (since their release in 2008) have created flat transitions with all the modern bars I have used since then. Seems more than current.

My next query is, is your drivetrain close to silent when lubed and setup properly? I hear a little noise like it’s a tiny bit out of alignment when pedaling but it shifts fine.
I’d grown used to a dead silent drivetrain on the previous bike and this one is not. I can live with it if that is just the way it is but will strive for silence if it can be achieved |

After wrapping the tape, it looks like this and is very comfortable to ride

Yep, quiet in all the gears. All I hear is the tires, or crickets, or cicadas.

Thanks. It must be slightly off then, still. I think it is my hanger or maybe the b screw needs a tiny adjustment still.

Are there specific gears it is noisy in? |

Every gear just a tiny click click. Micro adjusting the tension doesn’t fix it.

How frequent? Every pedal stroke, more frequently? Might have a funky chainlink.

Odd. Are you sure it is coming from the chain/gears?

Exactly. Check pedals and cleats.

If it is the gears, maybe the cassette lockings needs to be tightened? |
