Thanks! It's hard to find 25.4 quill stems, that aren't super long from the 90s and I refused to put one of those quill adaptors on it. Small detail that makes me happy to keep the stem that felt worth the effort to cut it up, braze, and repaint it.

Thanks for the offer - the fork actually runs pretty well right now but I am quite partial to the original and beautiful bi-plane fork

I bought this as an EP in late 96. It has the bottom pull front der. as opposed to top pull which started in 97. I didn't like the Fred Flintstone Kona graphics of the time, and had access to original frame stickers, so....

My 1988 Beast of the East SM800. Bought new and has seen many of races and has done 2 long distance tours(Europe 89 & New Zealand 92). Met some Canadians in Yugoslavia in Dubrovnik that had dropbars on their MTBs and was jealous. Still have the original owner’s manual that says you can trade-in the frame for a new one for $200! This bike is going to be buried with me.

The Inglis is mine. Granted a bit undersized, but less so as I age (note the riser stem and bars). Purchased the frameset from Curtis in ~'98(?), it was his personal rig. He sponsored our team at the time. I built it up full XTR 952, but it's seen a few upgrades.

Ahhh, got it. Well, if I could love a bike more than the Inglis, it’d be that Bruce Gordon! That is a 26er too, right? I would shoehorn 27.5” wheels in there and pretend that it’s a 29er

Sacrilege, I changed the mid-90's XTR 8 speed set up to 1x11, and I'll confirm it was worth it. I should sell it as they're coveted, but gosh darned, I like it too much!

This bike, or at least the frame and fork, have been in the family since 1987. Around 15 years ago I pulled the dusty and abandoned frame out of my mom's basement and rebuild it as a city cruiser. Gosh darned, it rides well. It's smooth and stable, yet doesn't ride like a tank. Made in Toronto frame.
