This is one of my minis, can't say I did the work on it, bought it like this, but I have a ton of mini projects in the garage. Most are street legal too, and none bigger than 70cc.

It depends on how your ride. Me? I'd go on some day trips after a bike ride and ride my MC as a 2-wheeled car. I'd much rather ride MCs for transportation than drive cars.

I haven't owned a car in some time, though my wife has an Odyssey. I use my Ninja 250 for everything - commute, errands, etc. The result of this has been that I almost never ride for pleasure any more (once in last six months) and that my other bikes, as a result, sit. Still, I love to ride my motorbike. Two wheels good, four wheels bad!

I have had two KLR650 bikes. My wife had an XT500 for a while.

I love enduro bikes. With the kids and New ENgland weather, it just does not make sense. I would love to find a BMW f650GS for cheap and just ride it a few times a year.
We go to Italy a few times a year and people have sweet bikes there. I love the Ducati Hypermotard but just totally impractical here.

Thats what I use the scooter for to run around during the day when it just isn't feasible to get sweaty running to the bank or something. I leave the scooter at work so I can ride in and still get around during the day. If I didn't have a 3 year old son I could get away with out ever using my car if I had a moto, but as it stands I still have to use the car a couple times a week even during the summer.

What does that do - 1:45 around Big Willow? No, probably not; not going to have the accel out of 7 and 9 to do that. 1:50?

Hold on, you're on slicks. So mid 1:30s or something. Like a stock 600 supersport.

Believe it or not, I've done 1:30's at the Big Track 1:30.3 is my fastest. The bike is slow (around 88hp), but I carry a sh*tload of cornerspeed My little SV (wtih me on it) gets around theer quicker than most people do on 1000cc motorcycles

http://www.mylaps.com/results/showla...rclass=0&pos=6

I also still hold a lap record for my class at Streets of Willow I've gotten into the 1:23's there

Also, the front tire is a slick, but I run a DOT rear.

Aha, you apparently know how to row a motorcycle then. I don't care if it's got 3-way adjustable Ohlins, AP brakes, and a f*cking rocket motor, hauling an SV around the big track in 1:30 is really, really impressive.

Best I've done is 1:33-something on a bone stock CBR600RR on DOT tires. (I is slow...) This was before they widened turn 4.
