Anyways took a closer look at the 35s.

Box is wheelmaster branded, if that gives any clue who built them?

Front: 746gm
Rear: 908gm
Width, out 24m/in 19mm. Estimated used calipers but still.
Wheelmaster is J&B house brand.

If quality bicycle products (QBP) is equivalent to Target, then J&B is equivalent to Walmart.

Thanks. I didn't know quality was another brand. I was just asking if the parent company of the PUB wheels made quality products

PUB would appear to be just a brand that Framed Bicycle uses to give the wheels that they buy (from likely-unaffiliated subcontractors) an "identity" (versus being unbranded and thus having a plainer look).

Such wheels are typically made-to-order for the bike company, so the quality of their components and even their tensioning level/quality can be whatever the OEM wants and agrees to pay for (within limits of what the wheel builder is willing to go along with).
An OEM Rockshox fork similarly might be re-designed down to a lower price point but with only subtle identifiers from it's retail labeling, or might even be upgraded with whatever features that an OEM might ask for.

I received the set of 27.5” “XC 34” rims today. With zero specs on the website I could not be 100% sure on what I was going to get. Looking at other companies that sell Chinese open mould carbon rims I was banking on these measuring out at 28mm ID, which they do. Score! Also, I was guessing the “XC” meant these were lighter layup and they are as they both weigh in at 365g. Perfect.

All in all these were a total steal and the PUB brand logos are not to offputting IMHO.

I am now on the hunt for a set of DT 350 hubs with rear boost & HG freehub and non-boost 15mm front hub.

I still didn’t get my $50 off coupon

Thats awesome to hear. I was so close to buying those, but really didn’t have a use for them.

I swear they added stock after the sale ended or I just didn’t search the right terms, but they now have numerous dt hubs listed. I would have liked to use my $50 coupon on a set of dt fat bike hubs. I ordered pedals and a chain which arrived yesterday. The pedals are new in box, the chain looks new-ish, and was in a plastic ziplock bag.

Be happy to build these for ya. Depending on spoke count and rear hub spacing(148mm?), I may be able to get the hubs too.

Has anyone experimented with brake pads and found a winner?

Sorry no, I had plan to set these up but mine are still in the box.
Pretty happy with my current wheels plus I have been riding my gravel bike a lot.

They seem to have a lot of rim options available again. Of course no 29” Mtb rims on sale.
