Cape Ann and Marblehead Neck
On my way back from Maine I got in a couple of rides. The weather was 70F and clear, amazing for November! Yesterday was a loop around the Cape Ann peninsula, through Gloucester and Rockport, about 31 miles that followed the shore as much as possible. Today was a short out and back from Salem to Marblehead Neck.
The first six images are from the Cape Ann loop, then three from Marblehead Neck. One can ride there all on bike paths from Habanero Bike, first a paved MUP then a rail trail, which gets one almost to the causeway to the Neck. Some pricy real estate Here are the routes: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/235925123 https://ridewithgps.com/trips/236139834 The last image is Habanero Bike in Salem, where we met with Cat Seiferth to hammer out the design and build for a new all road bike for my sister.

Cold out today but I wanted to see how the Paramount felt with the DA 7800 wheelset on it. The wheels did make it feel a bit better under me. Livelier and funnier.
The change in wheelset did drop 1/2 pound off the bike The channel was frozen over this morning Snow is slowly building up on Snowbasin Mountain Calm waters this morning Ben Lomond Peak Snowbasin Barn in downtown Eden Close up of the paint job |

Jim, the paint on that Paramount is incredible. Was that a stock paint job?
Rode the most excellent Mog this morning on a valley and riverside gravel ride with a chum, then up into the mountains for a little while after we parted ways. This might have been the slowest ride I've done all year, but with views like these, what's the rush? This is one of my favorite little stretches of bike riding that I know of, a few miles of gravel in Andy Guest State Park (aka Shenandoah River State Park).
