Hard to say, a big part of my longer rides are on multi-use paths. Maybe 500mi out of 1000 total?

* fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 52 downhill trying to outrun the gust front of an incoming storm when I was in my twenties on a steel Schwinn Traveler III. It caught me and I was soaked to the skins with rain shortly after.

A friend of mine and I convinced his very nice but somewhat naive girlfriend that Truman Capote the novelist, playwright and actor was once in politics and eventually rose to became president, and simultaneously that he was also the pope of the catholic church but was drummed out because being president and pope at the same time is illegal under U.S. law.

Riding bikes is about as much fun as you have have legally I think.

I was looking for information about the Serotta bike I bought since the information was somewhat sketchy and it seemed like there were more people who had good information than anywhere I'd found.

Me during RAGBRAI last year. The youth cycling program trains for 5 months then completes RAGBRAI. This was taken on tutu-tuesday.

The green color was in honor of Jim Greene who was the ragbrai ride director for years in the 90s and early 00s. He had recently passed and that Tuesday's ride was in named honor not him. On a personal note, he helped start the youth program I now help run and we as an oorganization are pretty connected to his family.

I did not plan that day's jersey well.
