Beautiful high elevation (~8000 to 9500’) riding in Alpine, AZ. A mostly dirt loop with start and finish on pavement. First is overlooking the small town of Alpine on South mtn summit elevation 9511’.

Wet miles in the Alleghanies

Up and down, up and down, repeat. Still loving the rediscovery of the C50. Such a smooth ride!

Dropped the gravel bike off at shop for some mechanical work that’s above my pay grade and saw this brand new Madone on shop floor…..it inspired me to dust off the old Domane. Love this bike

Hot during the afternoon so sought shady roads...monster ride (only referring to the socks). This is Hollow Brook Rd just before the climbing begins. I prefer nearby Cold Spring Rd which is prettier with its turns.

Up early and sought some shady roads out in western NJ today. 10/10 kind of a ride today. Everything just clicked. Great day.

Also, I love really old cemeteries. Just checking out the dates on grave markers is sort of an interesting reminder of a time long past.

You know what they say about life - no one gets out alive

Yeah, I gave him some ribbing for the choice. He said the shop didn't have any other Conti's. Not my bike.

Beach Cities & Palos Verdes

Lots of people, bicyclists, cars escaping the inland heat.
Yesterday the persistent morning marine layer kept things a bit chilly.
Today an ocean breeze made it pleasant to ride.

And back out today for another 50 miles. This time on the Miele Latina I picked up this spring and refurbished. This one is fast and comfortable.
