Rode up to the top of Great Basin National Park this morning. It was one hell of a climb; felt like I was sucking air through a straw.

Were you there with Rob English?!?

He posted a very similar picture in his instagram feed today. Bike leaning against the same sign. Of course, there's no telling when he took that picture...

Haha, funny you mentioned that. I saw him coming down the mountain the day before while we were driving up it in our campervan. I didn't realize it was him at first, but then I saw the same Instagram post you are referring to I rode up the next day.

After my trip to France last year and climbing up Col de l'Arpettaz and another Col or two with Hank pal (velotel) , I have pretty much concluded that switchbacks are nice to look at especially from afar, but when it comes to going up em'....not so much.
