Make sure you wear your matching Miles Q36.5 bibs ... You don't want a ticket from the fashion police cause you mixed and matched....
You know I can't miss the World Famous Montrose. Sat, 8:30, Forever.

Found an ugly ducking on CraigsList in Milwaukee--a crashed and neglected 17.5" Gunnar Rockhound left for dead. The owner dumped it really hard doing something stupid about 10 years ago and it sat in a storage closet since. Had a rattlecan paint job and some nice pseudo-vintage parts on it, so I knew it was worth the drive, considering the geometry was just about perfect for me.

Found:

Stripped down to the frame:

Bought it for $175, sold the Topline polished cranks that were on it for $155... still have a set of minty fresh Ringle MTB hubs that were on it and a handful of other parts worth a few duckets, and the whole thing wound up costing me a drive to Milwaukee and a $20 bill in the end. Not a bad deal for what 15 years ago was a $1200 American-made steel ride.

It will be off to a media blast session and then a custom paint job this spring. Should be a fun build and nice to get on a silky smooth hardtail MTB again.

Got some wheels on the bay that had a couple of crappy photos and poor description. I was able to get from the seller that that are 7900 hubs but that was it. They arrived and are 24/28 7900 hubs including DA skewers with unknown rims and came with Conti 4000S 25mm tires including good tubes. I think my $100 purchase was a good one. Crappy ebay photo.

Picked up Richie Schley's 2011 Rotwild X2. Even with 2.4" Schwalbe's it climbs like an XC bike.....very impressed and happy.

Campagnolo Tubular Love!

Two pairs of NOS Victory Strada rims 36H. Need/want 32H, but the price was right at the Cascade Bike Swap yesterday. Any one interested in possible trade or purchase on one pair?

Also scored NOS Dura Ace 7400 brake levers and an extra set of hoods!
