More from Sunday's ride on the Kirk Terraplane.

And the final shot in the yard at the end of the ride. My spot after a ride to eat a banana, suck down some chocolate milk, and just relax.

“Hey Mabel, come over and take a look at this funny looking dude”

“Maybe that’s why he climbed that hill so slow…”

Took a little detour up an old railroad that the county is in the process of converting into a bike path. Started out great--beautiful route up the canyon. The gravel got quite chunky. I thought to myself, "I am seriously underbiked and a long way from pavement. I should turn around." I turned around to head back. A rock immediately cut a giant hole in my sidewall.

Lesson learned? I should not have turned around.

Beautiful day nonetheless.

Straight ahead, uphill, is the start of another favorite road, Still Hollow Road. Looped around to pass a converted 1880 church to a home; has beautiful stain glass windows.

Longview Road....ouch...peaks about 15%, this photo is about 3/4 way up which is a steady climb. When you see the guard rails things are about to get tough (worse than looks in photo). Past the guard rails it's a left hand sweeper which begins the steepest section of about 100-150 feet at 15%.

Caught up to some folks also just riding around. Awesome stretch of great weather.

That Sachs stopped me dead scroll and has me thinking I need a pistachio bike in the fleet. That's a serious looker.
