Got out for some decent rides over the past few days before the rain settled in today. Shots from today's ride that started at 39 degrees and ended with 43 degrees. Overcast the entire day.

I'm pretty sure some Paceliners will recognize the place in the first picture, the underneath of an overpass at the end (or start, I suppose) of a certain gravel road.
The second picture features a more obscure bridge, allegedly haunted, which I happened upon unexpectedly while exploring some new roads a few days ago. It was really cool to find a structure like this on a lonely and barely used country road, the kind of road where unless you live on it (and not many people do) there's really not much reason to visit. Unless you like riding bikes. But I'm probably being historically myopic; there was probably a time when this road was one of the most happening places in the county and this bridge was a big deal. Just finished putting together a new Ibis DV9 and took it for a spin in the Verdugos this morning. About 38 miles and 4,000 feet of climbing from my driveway. DTLA in the background.

Great weather, 160 miles, 10k elevation, one cog, no problems. I love this bike so much. |

Pretty close to where the original Windows XP wallpaper was photographed!
