Something like that. I added saturation to show the blue in the bluebells. In person, they pop with blue-ish purple. On camera, or at least my camera, they appear an almost unnoticeable dull bluish gray.

It can be difficult to get them right. Better to shoot from the shade into the shade to get what the eye sees:

And from the sun into the sun to get the true colors that the eye translates into 'blue':

Ah! See, I usually shoot 'bike photography' style, with the sun at my back so as to optimize the bike in the image. But shooting bluebells into the sun seems to illuminate the translucent blue and provide a contrast with the opaque greens.

Thank you for the education and the beautiful photos.

One day I might spring for a camera better than my old iPhone 5 --that might help, too.

Weather here in New England has been bananas, days in the 60s followed by snow, followed by torrential rain/wind. The rain ended yesterday around noon and with 20-30mph winds the roads dried out enough to get out today, even though the winds stuck around. Still felt good to be outside.

Lovely morning for a ride, pre-Easter festivities.

As predicted this new steel fork rides brilliantly on this old Serotta. This is just a great bike, and the new dead simple rebuild really make for a great daily driver.

Time to mix up some sangria, have some family over and enjoy the rest of the day.

Visited the site where a riding buddy passed away two years ago. He had a massive coronary and was gone before he hit the ground.

I usually stop by and leave a pebble or stone on the marker.

About as nice a day as one could ask for!

In the morning I got my wife out for an 11 mile loop, she hasn't ridden her Salsa Casseroll for ages, and I did some upgrades I wanted her to vet (MKS Urban platform pedals and MKS stainless cages, BR650 calipers, King bottle cage). This was good, because it reminded her how much she loves that bike. It's a 45cm frame and there is still only 1 inch of seatpost showing

I got 25 more miles in this afternoon on the Bingham, and got a flat that the Stans did seal after the bike and I got well spritzed with sealant. My total for the first quarter of 2024 is 1,305 miles, my highest by a bit ever, which I'm pleased with as it seems we have had a lot of rain.
