Bishop Road bike after work.
Finally with daylight savings we can get out after work again. Spring is coming. |

Igle
Took the Igleheart out for a spin on the local trails. 26” and 3 x 8 is still fun!

A little evening ride on my Bishop 650b set up. Above 60 degrees and the sun didn't go down until 7:15-7:30ish. I will take it!

Have I expressed recently how much I love riding bikes? Well, a picture is worth a thousand words, and a panoramic might be worth even more than that, so here you go. (I love riding bikes.)
Also, here is a (graphic) novel interpretation of a one piece cycling outfit. Before I was spending 20+ hours a week riding bikes, I was spending 20+ hours a week reading manga, watching anime, and playing Japanese role playing games on SNES, PS1, Dreamcast, and PS2. I still do those things, but probably only 10% as much as I used to. My dad surprised me with this jersey when he came back from a bike show in Asia last year. Told me he got me a surprise that was 'even better than that pink Time bike.' In a lot of ways, he was right! |

March doesn't often yield much outdoor road riding but with the disappearance of winter this year and the early start to spring, I decided to take advantage. By 9AM it was in the low 40s, plenty warm enough for the 30mi round trip rip out to the Atlantic coast and back. It was dead calm on the way out making for seriously quick conditions. The wind kicked up into a mild headwind on the way home, but all in all a beautiful day.

Where is that? Looks a little like Ft. Rock, but isn't the usual bridge construction I've seen there. |

SoCal Spring Break
Visiting my in-laws in SoCal so got a chance to hit Palomar earlier this week…beautiful down in Pauma Valley but in the low/mid 30s up top. Brrr! I was nervous about the switchbacks down South Grade with dexterity fading from my fingers (still cold in too-light long finger gloves that I brought with me, and realizing that maybe disc brakes are the way to go!) and between the cold and the wind could not really relax on the descent, but it reminded me how lucky you Californians are to have these 1+ hour monsters in your backyard!
