Yep, Michigan. Blessed to live on the west coast. Couple miles from Lake Michigan, Mona Lake, and Muskegon Lake. Some pretty good riding here, road and off road. Love the Moots.

Have spent a bit of time in Michigan. My brother has his escape place on the Michigan dunes. Did my pre-cancer visit to Traverse City and was motorcycling with a friend that grew up in Manistee years ago. Live in Central
Illinois.

Cool. I used to live in Ludington, worked at the prison in Manistee. The west side of the state is beautiful, as is really any of the coastline along the great lakes. Traverse area is awesome, minus the summer traffic. Hard to beat northern Michigan. Hope your cancer is a thing of the past and life finds you well. Matthew

Rainbows and Unicorns

Last Thursday, I decided to pop a quick ride in before the rain started here. Rode out my door. Misty. Decided to give it a go for a bit. 10 minutes later I'm taking picture of full rainbow ending in the water on both ends at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. Hint of a double.

Ride another 10 minutes and I'm in gale force winds and pelting rain. 180 degree turn back home. Oops there's the rainbow again. Well, maybe that storm passed. Try that way again. Nope. Gale force winds and rain again. Head home.

Might as well get some pics of the newish 'vagen on the way home.

Not much of a training ride. But, really good for the soul.

Jon

Weise Limestone Kiln 1850-1910

A few of these kilns still exist in the area.

Cold and damp 35 miles. Rode to a conservation walk event that was beautiful and interesting and then rode back home. I've learned that my Yeti coffee mug fits the King Iris cage

The Habanero has been getting most of the miles lately because the roads have been consistently wet from all the rain. Fenders rule.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it ironic that the author of the most popular thread in Paceline history has exactly 23 posts, is still considered a “registered user” and hasn’t been active since 2017? Kind of funny.

Anyhoo…great day for riding. Moody and serene.

What area of NJ is that? If it is indeed NJ.

Yeah, you like that?! I paid extra for the lugs and stripping all the paint off.

These are near Califon, NJ on Vernoy Road (the section of Vernoy opposite Trimmer Rd).
There are much larger ones in Carpentersville (NJ).
