Hey Mr. Hummus,

You forgot to post some food photos above. What's up with that?

Hehe, whoops here ya go! I missed out on track hamburgers so I moseyed over to the Gardena Bowl coffee shop which has an extensive Hawaiian/Asian menu. Not bad for a bowling alley!;

Yeah, really. It’s really an “eating” thread with some cycling mixed in. There is something really, really marketable about this sub thread. A epiccyclecurian mash-up of Grant Peterson, The Bike Snob, and “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.”

Do it.

Lake Merritt.

Rode around the lake yesterday with one of my daughters. Crisp winter day. The people watching was off the charts. Couldn’t ask for a better riding companion or day on the bike.

Foiled by an unexpected closed highway heading to the arizona trail, it conveniently closed on the exit where I could access Hawes trail system so I did a few new descents after climbing the fun alpe de huez trail three times today:

This one is at the beginning of high ridge:

Prepared for the snow storm which is to arrive tonight. Snow shovel at the ready, gasoline in the generator and snow blower? Check. Chili's in the 'fridge, nothing to do but squeeze in one last ride before the snow starts.

There is a spectacular diner (Chubby's Diner) in the KBXtreme bowling alley in Kailua-Kona on the big island. A Hawaiian friend told me that Hawaiian bowling alley food is a thing. I love it.

I spent a few hours breaking the trail today. Some pretty deep powder and a lot of work!
