just swapped to drop bars on my Dad's Rivendell I inheirated and about to go out on a shakedown ride.. put my bar bag on and noticed the juxtaposition of this pic..

Late November sun makes for attractive photo colors.

FWIW I don't ride the roads much at all nowadays, but it's impressive how well really big tires just shrug off potholes. And with enough air pressure, they don't feel all that slow.

Passed the remnants of the old mill on Rockaway Road, Tewksbury (NJ) to find a new banner announcing the preservation effort of the COL. JOHN TAYLOR grist mill which dates back to 1760. The website on the banner is https://www.taylorsgristmill.org/

Cold is coming to NJ :-( A good hint of it today.

From Lick Observatory on Friday. Lost light on the descent and temps got miserable with windchill. Overall a magnificent local climb. Maybe not wait another 7 years to do it again.

I used to work in Rockaway so it was nice to see this. I never got to see much more interesting in the area than the inside of the race shop.

Cold here today, not going to break 20 it seems.

Looks great, but I'm not sure about the headcheese. My dad's hired man and his wife used to make it in their kitchen on our farm His dad came from Belgium before WWII - I always thought of headchesse as a European delicacy. I remember him "buttering" his bread with lard and headcheese. After seeing it made I don't think I was ever courageous enough to try it.
