Sorry to hear of your persisting troubles, but as a word of encouragement, I now know several folks who have had hip replacements now, and every single one of them says they wished they did it sooner. None of them were in any kind of good physical fitness condition either. You are a fit healthy cyclist, I bet your recovery would be even easier.

I am not a doctor, but I have seen hip replacement give some of my older pals a new lease on life, so I am a believer. Best of luck getting your situation sorted.

Thanks Nick. Here's something that we both can appreciate - I have a Zank, a Kirk, an Alliance, and soon will have a Zukas. There is no way I will let all that go to waste for some crazy resistance to hip surgery! Anyway, next season will be a new adventure (most likely) with a metal hip! My wife is still going strong. Thanks again! Dave

Love this thing. Off-road, commuting, bustling around town, centuries, etc. This one gives and gives.

I don't remember the red headset from before … seems like gold, blue, or purple would work better? "Not that there's anything wrong with that"

Just returned from a couple of weeks in Japan. We rented a couple of e-bikes, and guess who now wants an e-bike? Madness.

I had trouble narrowing down the photos, but I did my best to keep it concise.

And for good measure, my first test ride on the new bike today.
