All the hard work of recovery and training paid off with my fastest century ever, averaging 20.9 mph! (Of course, a lot of that was due to me grabbing the fastest wheel I could find and being dragged for 70 miles.)

This picture popped up on Strava and I like it a lot so I thought I'd share it here. The jersey was a gift from my absurdly supportive partner. She likes me in flowers and encourages all my worst bicycle shopping excesses.

Well done! 🍻

A little under 30 miles with my wife on a cooler day in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia - early fall is here.

A little gravel:

The Alliance continues to be a perfectly smooth ride:

A beautiful fall day, empty dirt roads and fresh wild apples served roadside.
What more could I ask for?

First decent weather in a very long time, so I had to go out.

Unfortunately I hit the ground pretty hard today, but the helmet did its job. Thanks, Giro.

More adventures in Angeles National Forest just outside of Los Angeles. I started this ride from my house pre-sunrise, heading up Angeles Crest Highway in the morning mist to hit the dirt and ultimately passing 10,000 feet of elevation gain in the first 60 miles of riding and hike-a-bike (that was rough).

Looks amazing. I’ve never made it up that far. Do you have a Strava or anything of the ride?

It’s the western 1/3 of this ride:

We took ACH to Angeles Forest Highway and started the route from there heading west.
