Rim Brake Perfection, lets fan boy yours..

I’ve posted this bike in other threads, but as I’ve just added new wheels and crank (not to mention a trick Pegoretti-designed derailleur clamp from R. Sachs), I thought I’d throw it up here as well. Not perfection, but edging closer (for me). Rivendell Roadeo, built by Waterford. Chorus 12-speed group with Super Record WRL crank and Bora WTO wheels (both picked up from members here). The Campy 12-speed mechanical group is fantastic — easy to set up and I love the ergonomics and shift feel. Highly recommended.

Very nice looking. Which chainring option, 48/32? As I have mentioned before, Campy says WRL and mechanical 12 aren't compatible but clearly they're wrong.

48/32 — works perfectly. If anything, I had an easier time adjusting the front derailleur with this crank as compared to the Chorus crank, although it has a very slightly wider chainline.

14 D2R2's on one bike is also quite impressive.

The early days at Deerfield were really something to see. Somewhat of a rim brake freak show with all types of cobbled together contraptions to get the job done. My how things have changed outside the big tent!

This is pretty close to perfection! Love it!

Agree — love that silvery blue. One of my favorite colors. I see this RS frame has different head tube lugs from the norm. Do you know what the history is behind that? Special edition of some kind?

As gorgeous as a Quintessential RED Sachs is to my eyes, the only thing that tops it to me are @Bittersweet's posting, and a few other custom color ones I've seen.

The other thing if I had one built would be seeing if he'd do the CX ST panel on a road bike build. For some reason I love that. I'd even fore-go the road bike for the CX to get it. But alas my Canti bike stash is adequately populated with a Moots and a Tomii and even a Soma. Not that this would stop me...

Canti to me is certainly rim brake perfection, especially with Pauls brakes.

And if you can't stretch for Pauls, Avid Ultimates are cheap on the used market.
