It was a beautiful 75° day here in San Luis Obispo. Guy Gadois and I went for a quick ride late in the day, and discovered an unknown-to-us local canyon road with Sycamores and dairy cows. We talked to the owner of the farm that the road cut through, who was out shooting ground squirrels. What a blast!

Climbing Tourmalet

Right turn at top to the summit of Tourmalet

Left turn to summit of Col d'Aubisque

Wide shot

Fabio Casartelli Memorial

Lots of natural road oddities like this between Col de Portet d'Aspet and Col de Jou

Stopped for horses on Col de Marie Blanque

All from last July, snow has forced me indoors for the moment =(

Gollum lives in California. The Bosque in Rosemead.

Probably because the weather is nicer than Middle Earth

Tour of California was on this road, but it was 20 degrees hotter

Cameron Park - Waco, TX

Another beautiful January afternoon in the heart of Texas. Upper 60's, sunny but very windy; hence the dirt ride in the shelter of the trees. Too early in the season to fight a 15-20 constant wind gusting mid-upper 20's.
But considering the weather in other parts of the country I have no reason to complain.

The weather got a bit interesting the higher the climb went...bright sunshine to freezing cold rain near the top. This was a club ride 2 weeks ago.

About the best I can do, these days.

I did get a daylight ride in day before yesterday, but I hadn't climbed in a while and I was too busy dying to snap pics. Felt good to get some altitude, though... and all the "2015 KOMs" I picked up made my ride look super hardman. I of course know it's only because I'm pretty much the only person riding around here, in the winter.
