Not a rules expert but 99.9% certain that the answer is no -- the same as on any other play, receivers and backs (incl. QB) plus one lineman if he reports to the ref as eligible on that play.

Bills had a good win away. As usual it looks like all AFC roads to the Superbowl go through Kansas. |

Well maybe you weren’t watching today then, but that had to hurt.
Amazing play though. |

Mahomes is like the 24th rated QB in the NFL this year. The chiefs have been pretty lucky for way too long. It comes to an end this year...at home...in the playoffs
Can't wait for facepaint mottled with tears. And a sad Taylor Swift |

Missouri. The "Kansas City" that is home to the Chiefs is in Missouri. As of now (may change in a few years), there is nothing in Kansas. |

Good thing about Buffalo Bills is there is no NY stench attached to the name. Go Dodgers!! |

My Patriots suck but beating the J E T S is like winning the SB this year (well not really but it still made my day)

Watching the crybaby egomaniac on the Jets go down is satisfying, to say the least.

Yepper, finding new and inventive ways to lose. To be fair, they did not deserve to win. Offense game plan and execution were horrendous. Stunt plays that fail on the 1 yard line? Bleah. The early signs are the Blackhawks are no better.

Agreed, lotsa head scratcher play calls. Apparently also, they had a QB spy on the Hail Mary play.?! I hope Caleb survives with his head intact (literally and figuratively) over the next year or two because I think he’ll be very good.

Eligibility rules apply to forward passes beyond the line of scrimmage. A screen pass behind the line, anyone would be eligible in my opinion.

En espanol. "Nah ah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, doin' fine! Buenos noches, Chicago!!!" https://twitter.com/i/status/1850701059653538246 From two separate WaPo articles: [Chicago Bear] Tyrique Stevenson had quite a day; besides getting into a back-and-forth with wide receiver Terry McLaurin and giving his team an unnecessary roughness penalty, he was the one who knocked the Hail Mary pass to Brown — after taunting fans and acting chesty when he thought his team was about to win. Here's a video of him taunting the Washington fans, with his back to the field after the play had already started, totally oblivious to anything but his own ego. Once he realized what was going on, he drifted to the scrum, and tipped to ball to Noah Brown for the winning score. If ever the phrase "epic fail" had a raison d'etre, Tyrique Stevenson's performance on that play would be an apt example. If I were the Chicago coach, he'd be scrubbing the showers for the next few weeks. https://x.com/RGIII/status/1850701640107446333 76 yards, 25 seconds, one timeout.

I don't believe that's correct. A forward pass, irrespective of the receiver's position relative to the line of scrimmage, must be caught by an eligible receiver (unless it's tipped). A lateral can go to anyone, like during "pitchy pitchy woo woo."

Per last night's SportsCenter, Herm Edwards agrees with you -- suspend him and fine him (nothing said about janitorial work).
