I generally don't gravitate towards IPAs, however O'Connor's El Guapo is very good. Highly recommended, especially for those who are not heavy into IPAs

Elysian Space Dust is really good, I just hate that they sold out to AB. But that stuff is 8.2%! Dangerous during happy hour!
For MN/WI we can’t get Firestone Walker or Russian River. A lot of the other CA staples are easy to get here. Are they driving back, and conveniently through Fargo? I’d pay for some Belching Beaver Phantom Bride! Being from Sacramento and being a huge Deftones fan, this beer is high on my must-have list. |

Top 3 right now. All easily available at any store around.
Breakside IPA or Wanderlust PFriem IPA Fort George Vortex. Freshies are a whole nuther' can of worms. Outstanding right now in the PNW.... Breakside's Fresh Hop Simcoe IPA was out of this world and so is Block 15's Sticky Hands. |

Odell Brewing Company - Myrcenary IPA!! Probably one of my favorites right now and at a blind tasting party I picked it over Pliny. A really great IPA from a fun brewery in Fort Collins, CO.

I grew up in El Segundo
Nice to see them on the map for something truly important.

I did too! This is the only thing about it I'm proud of, besides fellow ESHS alumni and spectacular frame builder/great crew person Steve Rex:

It would be hard for me to make a list... I've had a lot of good stuff but am not very organized about my thoughts, and enjoying anything on anyone's list will cloud thoughts.
Lagunitas is quite good and easily accessible. I've had just about the entire Alchemist lineup being originally from Vermont. I couldn't tell you how many Heady Toppers I've had for example, I've scored cases more than once. One thing to keep in mind... IMO and I think both of my brothers would agree with me, Heady Topper is not necessarily even the Alchemist's best work. Some of the others like Crusher and Focal Banger are perhaps better. I got to try Lawson's sip of sunshine last month, that's way up there too. The Ballast point Sculpin I find quite disappointing. I won't necessarily order it if I see it. Hill Farmstead in Vermont gets talked about a lot, haven't managed to try it yet, it's quite hard to get. Treehouse gets talked about like a religion in MA the last few years. I've had a few of theirs but haven't actually bought it myself so my opinion is not real well developed. I find a lot of these "American IPAs" that have "American Hops" like the Alchemist talks about are very different in character than some of the more traditional stuff, I'm more likely to really enjoy the new breed of IPA. |

TCQ probably learned of our town via Sanford and Son. Red Foxx was pulled over more than once by the notoriously racist cops and on the show would do a bit where he waved his hands when he left the ****ter and say "it smells like El Segundo in there." |
