I imagine it is similar to the housing stop for the Specialized Tarmac SL7 front derailleur housing, which is the part shown on the right in the photos I posted above. Like the DSW Crux, the Tarmac SL7 also has a housing exit port on the back portion of the BB shell. To use a front derailleur that can't use full length housing, the housing stop is inserted into the housing exit hole from inside the BB shell. The depth of the housing hole in the stop is only slightly more then the diameter of the housing, but the inner walls are tapered, so it forms a tight fit on the housing.

The housing exit hole on the Tarmac SL7 points at about a 30 degree angle from horizontal. As can be seen in the photo, the flange on the housing stop is at about 45 degrees, so when the flange is flush with the inside of the BB shell, the housing and cable point at about 75 degrees, or just about parallel with the seat tube, and pointing at the. The housing exit hole on the DSW Crux points more horizontally, so even if the housing stop flange is angled, the cable probably does not emerge quite parallel to the seat tube. So I'd expect that there would be radiused cable guide built into the external portion of the housing stop.

Below is the diagram from the Tarmac SL7 showing the use of full length housing (top image), and using the housing stop (bottom image). Notice how the angled flange allows the housing/cable to be at an angle to the direction of the housing exit port.

I've been crooning on and on that they need to make a DSW crux so I can have my threaded BB, di2 routing, clearance for 47's and alloy construction.

Texted the local shop GM for pricing even though I need another dirt bike like an extra hole in the head.

Both colorways are neat as well.

I hate this brand but I would consider one of these.

Wondering: Thin DSW Alloy VS Carbon. How hard a hit on carbon big enough to damage would leave what size crater in DSW tube? #PartyPooper

I've never snagged a DSW, still curious to this day. Been semi close on the allez sprint dsw, the great paint for me made them even more attractive. But carbon sluut I guess. Only '13' bike left is my old 9000 series Gary Paragon. Still ride it too.

I am really looking forward to this! It is supposed to arrive sometime in early July and I’ll build it up with existing components on one of the bikes in my fleet, which I expect to offer for sale if the Specialized is what I expect it will be.

I've had a DSW Chisel HT for 1.5 years and love the crap outta it, I'm sure a crux will be sweet.
