Got most of the bike bolted back together. Dumped fluids into it, turned the fuel taps on, gave it a kick. Fired on second kick. I feel pretty good (relieved) about that. Things went quickly considering this was a bare frame eight days ago. Still need to knock out a few odds and ends. Not happy with the wire routing in a place or two, dial in the timing, bleed the hydro clutch and front brake, re-wrap header pipes, etc.
Now back to building frames.

Just to close the loop on the Norton discussion. The old girl took home both Best in Show and Best Cafe Racer at the Rockers Reunion. Ran great all day and had a blast.
Then on the ride home it fried the voltage regulator and blew the headlight bulb. C'est la vie. If it got me home after every ride it would be a Honda and not a Norton.

What are all you folks doing posting these old polluting motorcycles in a bicycle forum??? You ride bikes for crikey sake. I'll bet you don't eat granola or wear Birkenstocks either do you!! What a bunch of faux greenies you are. I'll bet you all have boats too!!!
Love em!! That Norton makes my knees weak. Keep posting. William |

I love the Norton but don't those pipes threaten to fry your legs?
