Went through the Swedenborgian Church's (General Church of the New Jerusalem) primary campus. Didn't know it was a thing before today. Lots of small sects around Philadelphia that I keep stumbling into. The quiet climb and the bridge shot are just around the corner of that cathedral.

I haven't ridden Morgan since the storms, did you happen to ride the North side? If so how torn up is it? I remember how bad it was after our rainy 2016/2017.

Ride on Chappaquiddick

Our little MTB Sunday morning ride took the ferry over the 527 feet between Edgartown and Chappy yesterday and the four stalwart Medicare Marauders had a fine old time on a day with hardly any wind. Down at Wasque, the erosion is being accelerated by the breach of the barrier beach for the first time in about 20 years. The house with the sandbags (installed in the last couple of weeks) was 1/4 mile from the ocean 30 years ago!

The ship in the second photo is laying electrical cable out to where the wind farms are being built.

I rode up the Clayton side and down the Livermore side. I didn’t have any problems with the road conditions. I had 32c tires, however. Totally doable on 28c tires.

I did the Gravel Bike California ride yesterday and went a bit hard for me, but made some new friends at the back of the pack.

Stole a couple of 50 milers before the next winter storm comes through. First, through the valley. Clear, Sunny, Cold. As Pushkin wrote: Мороз и солнце; день чудесный!

Today was a solo ride the other direction to the north side of the valley. Nice climb at the far end of an out-and-back.

(Can I just pause to say how much I am enjoying this bike. It is The Bike For Me.)

28 miles with my wife on a super-warm and super-windy February day that felt like a June day (74 degrees F):

Flag straight out in the wind:
