It looks as if you like a flat transition from bar to hoods, but the bars you are using don't help without a funky angle.

The Zipp SL-70 (I' sure there are others) would give you the flat top you are looking for in a more elegant setup.

Yes they are Trigger Pro 33's. If you want a tubeless tire that is good on dirt as well as road this is the tire to buy. Compared to the Clemete.... I think the Clemente is a better dirt tire but its not tubeless. If I was riding mostly dirt and didn't care about tubeless the Clemente would be the way to go.

That Taylor is fantastic! If there's any new/custom bike that I'd contemplate in my future, that would be it. Can work with skinny tires, can work with fatter tires, can be packed for flying with, threadless fork...

Now, I personally would prefer the older style 55mm reach single pivots for brakes, but even dual pivot is better than cantis, ATMO, but I'm weird like that. (The old XT/XTR V-brakes with the parallelogram... now that could be interesting... But overall a heavier and maybe more finicky package than it can be with good calipers.)

Most can, the diameter of the wheels with big tires works out to be virtually identical. I believe 650x38 roughly works out to 700x23

650B X 42mm is same diameter as 700C X 23mm.

Bike dropped a couple mm from the 700C X 28mm tires I usually run.
