Thank you! I agree. In a sea of plain all Ti bikes its great to see a touch of paint especially in the white pearl.

Thanks buddy. It took getting used to, but no other bottles cages are to be used on a Legend. They are indestructible I will tell you that. Also the Silca bottle which I believe is a Specialized Purist slides in and out with ease but also grips when in the cage securely. Great piece of kit.

30Fs, breezy, but good sun. 41 miles. Roads wet and salty from snow melt, so riding the Litespeed. Probably by Thursday I might be able to get the Bingham out - could always put the fenders back on. I hate to ride a really nice bike when I can see the salt on the road!

Yesterday's ride on the Owl Head loop near Tucson AZ. Nothing like a slight downhill with a tailwind to make you feel like superman!

A totally different route and I ended up with the same 41 miles as yesterday. Warm enough (nudged above 40F!) for clipless pedals so swapped those on and the pinned flats off. Stopped for a large pecan sandie cookie at Morning Glory Farm about halfway. Stopped at the USPO and picked up the two 143mm Ti Toupe saddles I got off the 'Bay in two separate transactions. One shipped earlier but was in tracking limbo, so was surprised to see it show up with the one shipped later that was tracking properly.

Low 50Fs today and sunny, what a difference from 18F last weekend! Didn't even need a windshell today.

Decided to count my distance in metric it sounds better, so today I passed 10,000 km for the year

After a brief cold snap, we're in a warm spell here in NJ. Yesterday was low 60's in the end of December. The roads around here are covered in salt, and I was ready to grab the fendered rain bike for a ride yesterday, but the Breadwinner shod with Nemesis wheels beckoned to me, and decided I would rather ride it. This bike certainly feels right at home with nice boxy tubulars, and the ride is just "right" on imperfect roads, frost heaves and salt piles. A gift from the weather gods yesterday and a brilliant day on the road.

Lotta SLOW miles

I'm on the 10 mile paved path around the Correllus State Forest on Martha's Vineyard, and the sign and large bronze statue commemorate the heath hen, which was hunted to extinction, and the last surviving population was on MV. A devastating wildfire and other mishaps foiled the attempt to support the growth and re-establishment of a healthy population of the sub-species and the last known siting of Boomin' Ben was in March 1932.

This is my shortest 'jump out and get a quick ride in" route, because it's 0.6 down the end of my dead-end road to jump onto the 10 mile path and get 11.2 miles in.
