* How did you find the paceline Forum?: I joined Velocipede Salon in 2011 when I was laid up on the couch for a few months after getting hit by a car. It was only a matter of time til I found Paceline, too. I found VS somehow because I had heard of Rock Lobster bikes somewhere and had a friend who had an Independent Fabrication, so I became enamored with custom bikes and searched for them. I love me these forums.

Oh, yeah, here's a pic of this nerd:

Who are you (and what do you look like)?

Howdy!

I’ve been mostly lurking around here since 2006 or so. I generally frequent the classifieds section. I’m now in my 60s and ride more nowadays than ever. I live near Houston, Texas.

This is a recent photo of me on my Speedvagen.

Name - Doug Lee

Where do I live?? - Kenosha, Wisconsin

What's up with my handle? - I use Retrodoug, because I generally like old stuff. I like old cars , old houses , antiques and classic bikes. My bike clothes are mostly wool.

Avatar - I don't have one. I don't know how to make one

Age -I just turned 61

Favorite bike - Currently my 1990 Bridgestone RB-1. My new favorite will be my Ellis Strada SLX .

My bike stable - Currently my un-built Ellis Strada SLX light metallic blue (I plan to build it up with Campy 11-speed components) ; 1990 Bridgestone RB-1 in basic black, 1973 Super Mondia Special complete with 531 tubing, chrome Nervex lugs , full Campy (plus MAFAC brakes) and a Red white and black fade paint job ; my Schwinn Voyageur SP Touring bike (1982) black with red and gold pinstriping, factor racks , SunTour components and hammers fenders; Schwinn Passage touring bike (now my gravel grinder); and old Raleigh mountain bike

How I found Paceline - after I spent all my money to get my Ellis frame and fork set, I needed parts. I want Campagnolo 11-speeds , but I need to get it at a price I can afford. Some friends recommended that I checkout the Paceline forum.
