We pulled off the fall trifecta here.
The weather stayed great for cycling up until a week ago.
Deer season started Saturday.
I shot a deer on Sunday.
And today I was out XC skiing.
That's the dream year. Seamless transition from one outdoor sport to the next to the next.

Beautiful day to shake out a new bike! Impulse purchase on 2023 Trek Domane SLR 9 with Red AXS. Need to lower the stem by at least another 1 cm or more, as the bike has a high stack.

Shorter days tend to mean shorter rides and more dirt.

Mt Lukens ride on Thanksgiving

My sister and BIL were in town for t-day, and he rented a bike so we could go on some rides. Today we rode from South Pasadena up to ANF to do some dirt riding on Mt. Lukens. You can see DTLA way in the distance in the pic of my BIL. I threw the 35mm GKs on the Breadwinner and did my best. I could have used a lower gear than the 34/34, but I didn’t have to walk that much. Crazy wind gusts and some areas of the trail were washed out (I’m assuming from recent heavy rains) but all in all a great day out. I passed 100,000 feet of climbing for the year on this ride.

Enjoying some unusually mild weather here in the PNW. West Seattle, the Cascade foothills, and Burien.
